FAQ
The five questions we hear most from short-stay managers.
Straight answers to what short-stay managers ask before they add an AI drafting and triage layer to the inbox — cost versus a co-host service, 24/7 AI drafting availability, multi-city compliance posture with city guides that ship only after verification, scaling across four active-property bands, and what really happens in an after-hours emergency.
RentaraAI uses a flat monthly USD subscription per active property. The selected rate applies to every active property: $15 USD for 1–3, $10 USD for 4–9, $7 USD for 10–29, and $5 USD for 30+ properties.
The AI drafts around the clock, in your voice, on every property — no overnight gap, no warm-up week while the model is "learning". Guest messages route through the AI immediately and you get a polished draft in your inbox promptly, drawn from the current conversation context and the property's operational house rules. Approve & send and the message goes out; nothing leaves your account without your click. Anything you mark off-limits the AI escalates straight to the named human, with the full context already attached.
You stay the licensee of record on every address. RentaraAI is a configurable workflow and checklist layer — the city-by-city rules are the named operator's to verify and apply. The desk drafts reminders and configured checklists in your name; the human on the permit signs, files, and signs off. The verification log tracks the current review state of every city guide RentaraAI maintains; the city guides that are not yet verified-live are held back from the index until each guide finishes verification. Not legal advice — verify with the city and a licensed attorney.
The selected band rate applies to every active property: 1–3 at $15 USD/property/month, 4–9 at $10 USD/property/month, 10–29 at $7 USD/property/month, and 30+ at $5 USD/property/month. For example, 5 properties cost $50 USD/month, 10 cost $70 USD/month, 29 cost $203 USD/month, and 30 cost $150 USD/month.
The AI triages first — it gathers the facts, identifies the property and the guest, and gathers the current conversation context (message thread + property's operational house rules). Issues you mark as an emergency (lockout, water leak, no heat in winter, anything threatening safety) page the named on-call human with the full thread already attached. Otherwise the message holds for follow-up on the next business morning — and what counts as an emergency is configurable per property, not a hard-coded list.
